A 20-year-old Colorado man, discovered dead in the women's restroom of Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, was equipped with an AR-style rifle, a semi-automatic handgun, body armor, and a ballistic helmet, as well as real and imitation explosives in his vehicle.

He was dressed in black tactical clothing featuring patches and emblems resembling law enforcement insignia. Although written messages were found in the restroom, such as "I am not a killer" and "I just wanted to get into the caves," investigators are unsure if the man authored them. It is also suggested that the individual would likely have been ineligible to legally acquire the firearms due to his age, given that Colorado recently raised the legal age for purchasing guns to 21.

The firearms appear to be "ghost guns," which lack serial numbers and can be constructed from kits. While the man had clothing reminiscent of law enforcement attire, there is no evidence he was an actual officer. The FBI is collaborating with local authorities in the investigation to ascertain the man's intentions and background. The incident has raised concerns but fortunately did not result in a harmful outcome, according to Garfield County Sheriff Lou Vallario.
